Nepal is a birthplace of Lord Buddha and home of world’s tallest peak ‘Mount Everest’ (8,848m/29,028ft locally called Mt. Sagarmatha). Largely Hindu nation Nepal’s second biggest religion is Buddhism. Peaceful country, friendly people, highest Himalayan peaks and religion for world Peace can be experienced in Nepal with this itinerary.
Buddha & Everest
Day 01: Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport, Kathmandu. Meet our representative outside the terminal building then transfer to the Hotel. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 02: early morning scenic Mount Everest Experience flight. If you like to take a helicopter to land near to the Everest base camp with panoramic view of the Everest range and breakfast in a local lodge in trekking trail can be added too.
Then in the afternoon: tour of Kathmandu and World heritage sites. Visit the Swoyambhunath Stupa (aka Monkey temple), Old Market of Kathmandu, Old city or Kathmandu Durbar Square.
Day 03: Another full day in Kathmanud’s world heritage sites. This day tour will take you to the Patan Durbar Square, Patan Museum and backstreet walk, Pashupatinath Temple, most sacred temple of Hindus where they cremate their dead bodies in the river bank, and finally Boudhanath Stupa, largest Buddhist stupa in the country.
Day 04: Morning flight to Bhairahwa airport (35min) then drive 30 min to Lumbini, Birthplace of Lord Buddha. Check in to the Hotel then walk around the local village. After lunch tour of Monasteries build by different nation.
Day 05: Morning visit the Mayadevi Temple, birth spot of Lord Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama. Then drive to Chitwan (4hrs). Arrival in Chitwan and check in to the resort. Afternoon Tharu Ethnic Village visit. Evening: Tharu Culture Stick dance.
Day 06: Full day of Wildlife safari tours in the Chitwan national park.
Day 07: Morning bird watching and breakfast then drive to Pokhara (5hrs). Arrival in Pokhara, check in to Hotel. Evening walking tour of Lakeside Street.
Day 08: Tour of Natural Pokhara. Boat ride in Phewa Lake, visit of International Mountain Museum, Gupteshwor cave, Suspension Bridge and Gorkha Meseum.
Day 09: Early morning drive to Dhampus village and hill for the sunrise view over the Annapurna Himalaya range. This Gurung Ethnic village is a gateway to the Annapurna Base camp and home of many ex Gorkha Soldiers. We visit the village and do the short downhill hike back to the highway then drive an hour back to Pokhara.
Day 10: Morning fly (30min) or drive (7-8hrs) to Kathmandu. Then drive to Bhaktapur. Evening: visit the Bhaktapur town. Overnight: at Hotel here.
Day 11: Morning visit the Bhakatapur Durbar Square, Pottery Square, and world heritage monuments. Afternoon: drive to Kathmandu. Rest of the time free or at leisure.
Day 12: Departure transfer to the airport for your onward flight.
