We clear our immigration in both customs (Nepal and Tibet) in Rasuwagadhi to get to Tibet side where your Guide will meet you and escort you to the Tibet for the tour. In these 8 days trip you will visit Lhasa, the capital of Tibet along with Potala palace, many monasteries, settlements and lakes. You will cross some challenging high passes (Lalung La-5050m, Gyachu La 5220m) with breathtaking view of many snow covered Himalayan peaks Including the Mt. Everest (8848m), Mt. Day 01: Kathmandu (1320) -Kerung Border (145 Km) 06-07 hours 4X4 drive
Very Early Morning commence the scenic driveto Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) through the beautiful terraced Nepalese countryside and after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, we will have an hour adventurous uphill drive by Bus & jeep(depending on group size) or 2 hour walk uphill (in case of landslide to Chinese immigration, check-in to hotel or Continue drive to Kerung). overnight at Guest House.
Day 02: Kerung – Tingri (4300m) / Lhatse (4,350m): 225 Km/244 Km
This day we will drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the great view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. From here, if weather permits will have a breathtaking panorama of beautiful Himalayan ranges including Mt Cho Oyu (8201 M) & Mt Xishapagma (8012M) but dwarfed by the Vastness of the Tibetan plateau. From TINGRI, you can enjoy the magnificence of the highest peak on earth, Mt. Everest (8,848 M). Overnight at Guest House
Day 03: Tingri/Lhaste – Xigatse (3,900 M): 244 Km
This day we continue our scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Overnight at hotel.
Day 04: Xigatse – Gyantse (3,950m): 90 Km
In the morning, sightseeing tour of Panchen Lama’s Tashilhumpu Monastery. Then Drive to Gyantse to visit the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery. Overnight the Hotel.
Day 05 Gyantse – Lhasa (3,650m): 261 Km
Full day picturesque drive, to cross over Karola (5,010m), Kambala (4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake and the Tibetan lifeline river Brahma Putra (Yarlung Tsangpo). Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06-07: Sightseeing In Lhasa
Two full days we will explore the History, Culture and architecture of Lhasa in our sightseeing tour of Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, And Potala Palace Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08: Lhasa – Kathmandu or continue your tour to Mainland China.
Departure transfer to Gonggar airport or to train station for your onward flight to Kathmandu or to the Mainland China.
